Blesbuck – White – Non Trophy

Damaliscus pygargus phillipsi (same as regular blesbok)

A Unique Variant of an African Beauty

The White Blesbok, a distinctive variation of the Blesbok antelope, stands out with its striking all-white appearance.

This elegant herbivore, like its brown counterparts, adds grace and beauty to the African landscape.

Standing at 80-100 cm tall and weighing 50-85 kg,

White Blesboks are native to South Africa, Lesotho, and Eswatini.

They share similar social behaviors, forming small herds and grazing on grasses, while their exceptional white coats make them a truly remarkable sight in the wild.

Scientific name: Damaliscus pygargus phillipsi (same as regular blesbok)
Mass: Adult Male: ~70–95 kg (154–209 lb) Adult Female: ~60–85 kg (132–187 lb)
Fun fact: The White Blesbok is not a separate species, just a color morph bred or naturally occurring. The “white” coat is striking but still has the species’ characteristic face blaze. These are often kept in private reserves or game farms for aesthetic reasons.
